Sorry – Spaghetti Dinner Cancelled, But…

We are sorry to say that we have cancelled the Spaghetti Dinner scheduled for February 9th, 2013.

However, our good neighbors at Our Lady of Peace Church are sponsoring an all-you-can-eat spaghetti supper and a bakesale on that day, February 9, from 5 PM to7 PM in the church basement located at 203 Halcomb Street (off State Fair Boulevard, corner of Carno Center). Take-outs available. Adults – $8,  Kids 5-12 – $5,  Kids under 5 – Free!

So — you can still get a great meal at a great price!

Look for our Corned Beef and Cabbage in March.

Ministry Fair – Sunday Jan 20 after Mass

     At the November and December meetings, members of the Growth Team Workshop discussedand developed goals for 2013.  Continuing with the focus of improving our church structure and process, the Growth Team developed a “ministry structure,” which will serve to more evenly distribute the work of the parish and allow all parishioners to become involved in our church’s growth. 
     We will hold a Ministry Fair  on Sunday, January 20 during coffee hour.  On that day, believing in the concept that each of us has unique talents to use for the church’s benefit, each parishioner will have the opportunity to join one or more of these ministries.  We will provide descriptions of each ministry next week, so everyone can have an opportunity to think about how they can best serve. 
     This Ministry Fair is an extremely important step in our church’s growth. 
     PLAN NOW TO BE A PART OF THIS EXCITING INITATIVE FOR THE UPCOMING YEAR. 
     See you all on January 20 at the “fair!”

Free Spaghetti Dinner with Food Pantry Donation

FREE SPAGHETTI DINNER WITH FOOD PANTRY DONATION.

Holy Cross and Our Lady of Peace churches are holding a free spaghetti dinner to collect non-perishable food items for the local food pantry.

WHAT: Help feed the hungry in our community.  Join us for a meal of spaghetti with meat or marinara sauce, salad, bread, a drink, and homemade cake.

ADMISSION: For all ages, at least one non-perishable food item for the Our Lady of Peace Food Pantry.

WHEN:  Saturday November 17, 2012, 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM
